All the votes should count...
To say that the voter of the people of Florida and Michagan are worthless is wrong. We shouldnt be the party of disenfranchisement.

The fucking republicans didnt even completely disenfranchise thier voters, why did we? Who's bright idea was that? Also of all states to do it to, Florida, after what all has happened there?

Something needs to be done to give these people a voice.

1. There were rules, and they broke them.

They jumped on other states that earned the lead, and that's how it goes.

You've been offered a chance to re-vote. I suggest lobbying your state officials for them to pay up for their mistake, so your voice can be heard. The cheapest way to go about this is mail-in, and in the grand scheme of things - is relatively inexpensive.

ETA: And then ALL the voters in FL can be heard. We can't forget those that didn't vote, thinking it didn't matter.

3. They should have stuck to the rules.
It's either "disenfranchise" Florida and Michigan, or disenfranchise everybody else.

Get over it.

6. Real elections should count
FL and MI were not real elections.
The government, the state parties and the voters themselves
knew well in advance that their delegates would not be seated
because they decided to break the rules. That's the truth of it.

All this whining is pretty disingenuous.

8. This reminds me of the way things go in academia or the government
They make up some arbitrary rule where the elections won't count, but they proceed to hold the elections anyway. They were utterly clueless about the consequences of what they were doing. Now that everything is a mess they don't know what to do.

9. If Florida Democratic Party held a primary in which only
"white, male, landowners" could vote and their plan was rejected by the National Party (DNC) as not following the rules of the Democratic Party, should their votes "count" anyway?
Just asking. It's an extreme scenario, I know.

But the Michigan and Florida primaries were not approved by the Democratic Party as valid for delegate selection. They were valid for what they were, ie., beauty contests, and the votes were counted for what they were but just not approved for delegate selection. This was quite common in the past when many primaries were held as beauty contests only with the delegate selection coming later at a state convention.

Pretty basic stuff, actually - Politics 101. National political parties make their rules and by-laws. State organizations are subsidiary to them, county organizations subsidiary to the state party, etc.
