Another effective facet of the 3:00 am ad that's been undiscussed: it hints at who's in the bedroom
at Hillary's side when that phone rings, without mentioning his name.

It's effective, because in case of another attack, certainly Bill Clinton would have a great deal of influence over the course of action, especially in the early portion of her term.

Obama's got to get serious about running against Bill Clinton's experience in areas of national security.

Maybe now would be a great time to start dropping names of people who would be on Obama's team, in case of a crisis. Because that is not a battle he can win straight up--but he can DEFINITELY win that battle, depending on what names he starts to drop about who would be in his cabinet to help guide him at the beginning of his term.

1. RNC is auditioning Monica Lewinsky lookalikes to counter Hillary's 3 AM ad.

That will tie McCain irrecoverably with Kenneth Starr and that will be the end of him...

Sorry about that - Had to edit.

2. No matter which of the Dem candidates eventually
wins the White House, I'm absolutely certain that neither one of them will be caught as flat-footed as Herr decider on 9-11. The man was truly flummoxed as events unfolded that day and no matter who, either Hillary or Barak, when they have taken charge of our country come Jan. 20 2009, will be a 1,000% improvement in how to react to a crisis. Of that I am confident. Mainly because they will approach any crisis from the viewpoint of what is best for the country instead of how can I best cash in on this calamity like the neothugs have been doing.

4. It's a racist ad (for a new reason besides blackening Obama's face.)

"It's 3 AM and a black man is watching your children"

Admit it. No matter how liberal you are, your heart skipped a beat. If you are white or hispanic and have an ounce of parental instinct, your first thought was "ZOMGZ CALL THE POLEECEE!!!!!" before your prog self-censorship kicked in.

That's right, liberals. You thought it.

When you boil it right down, that's what the 3 AM ad was about. Not about national security credentials or how many years of experience. Everything in the voiceover besides "3 AM" was completely irrelevant.

5. I can buy that.
It was effective on many levels. We'll see how Obama responds.
