An epiphany that I can't believe.
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 01:18 AM by CitizenRob
I'm sure that those who lately regret voting for Bush know exactly how I feel.

After years of dismissing the rights constant harping on the Clintons it has become obvious over the last month through her, and her campaigns various DISGUSTING, PARTY DESTROYING actions that she is as bad as they said she was. It is HORRIFYING to me that ANYBODY could stoop to the level of depravity the right has always accused her of, but she is there now. Wallowing in the filth like Rove and his ilk.

Boo me all you want Clinton fans, Bush has his supporters still too... no matter how vile he is.

5. The party destroying started with Obama loving Reagan and trashing
President Clinton. Remember January? That is when the Democratic Party developed a giant split - the difference is that the Obama supporters didn't get it or didn't care.

67% of Democrats want Hillary to stay in the race. The people who talk like you are in the minority and care more about Independents and Republicans. Many, if not most, of the Obama supporters are not Democrats. They are Independents who previously supported no one or Nader, so-called unaffiliated Progressives and general wankers.

Just for the record - you have not had an epiphany. You have never supported Hillary.

8. I love how 80% of your post is BS.
My favorite part: "The people who talk like you are in the minority and care more about Independents and Republicans. Many, if not most, of the Obama supporters are not Democrats. They are Independents who previously supported no one or Nader, so-called unaffiliated Progressives and general wankers."

I guess I'm not a democrat anymore.

Some of these people claim to be oh so Progressive, but they love Reagan, love Republicans and Independents who would have and probably still will vote Republican in November, and hate core Democratic values. Makes one wonder, doesn't it?

You're all insane, that's what I think.

Do you check for Obama supporters under your bed at night? Y'all sound pretty freakin' paranoid if you ask me.

I've been a proud Democrat for over 35 years, and I'm voting for Obama because Clinton's tactics disgust me. Now tell me I'm not a Democrat, and I'll tell you where you can put your near-worthless opinion. Deal?

45. In essense, we are running against Reagan
because his policies have been taken to their extreme by the bu$hies.

Obama called Reagan "the right man at the right time", who countered the "excesses of the 60s" (Like what? Voting and civil rights? Demonstrations to end an unpopular war? Government help for the impoverished? Running a fairly balanced budget? Concern for the environment? Government assistance with higher education?). Obama saved his criticism for the last Democratic President (Clinton), and is basically running a campaign that is a variation of Reagan's substanceless "Morning in America".

22. You're wrong. I did support her.
But then I heard an opinion piece on NPR that made me reconsider. The opinion piece was on her vote for the war in Iraq and how it is troubling because it showed either a lack of due diligence on an important vote, or that she voted base purely on political expedience and how neither of those things are easily reconciled for that opinion author. And just like that I was inoculated against the political expedience that Hillary finds so necessary to cling to at all times. Political expedience that would this week cause her to throw Obama under the bus by endorsing an enemy to our entire party, WEAKENING our party as a result.

Disgusting.

26. WRONG...
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 01:48 AM by Carolina
He said Reagan was transformational and, admit it or not like it or not, he was. In a huge landslide in 1980, he ushered in a new coalition which has PERSISTED. He is an icon.

We Dems, including Obama, didn't like him, and his policies were disastrous but HE WAS transformational. Clinton was not. That is a FACT. And that's far different from HRC's endorsement of McCain.

The America we live in today more closely represents the Reagan era America than the Carter era America. We've been trapped in this cycle of corporate depravity for 25 years now.

29. Reading comprehension and critical thinking aren't your strong points obviously.
I stated I UNDERSTAND now how one-time Bush supporters now feel at the sham of a monkey man that they elected to office. I once supported Hillary, then after her senate run I no longer wanted to vote for her, but I WOULD NEVER STOOP SO LOW AS TO SAY I'D VOTE FOR MCCAIN BEFORE HILLARY.

That is BEYOND shameful.

42. Well let's see...
saying the candidate of the opposite party is more qualified to be CINC than an opponent in your own party...I'd say that's taking your constituents into unknown territory. Bill Nelson, Hillary's bestest DLC friend in Florida is threatening to not support Obama in the GE if Queen Hillary isn't allowed the right to ascend the throne.

Those are just two off the top of my head.
