Don't worry Obama supporters; Samantha Powers will be back
Once Obama becomes President; maybe even closer (after Hillary drops out). Ms. Powers is one of Obama's closest advisors and I expect her to play a role similar to Condi Rice (but a much more competent one) in an Obama administration. I can even see her as being a future Sec. of State.

Hillary supporters cannot even deny the intelligence of this fine lady.

4. My , My "smoke and mirrors " is respected when Obama does it but in the Case of Shaneen, when
Hillary is acuused of the "potential" of doing that, everyone was "revolted". Nice double standard going there.

14. She is as bad. There can be read just as much "sexism" into powers remark as

into Shaneen's. Both were wrong. Actually both are probably just folks who "misspoke".

15. Bullshit.
There's nothing sexist about what Powers said.

That's like calling critics of Lieberman "anti-semites."

as stupid.Nobody who works for either campaign is perfect. Neither candidate is perfect. And people call those who do not support Obama "racist. They accuse those who do not support Hillary sexist.I have been called both.

18. My point exactly.
Shaneen (sp?) made racist statements.

Powers did no such think.

Hence, it's not a double standard.

21. You imply racism is worse than sexism. I disagree. Both are equally wrong.
I also do not think either peron is guilty of being either thing. But they definately should not have said what they did.

22. Bullshit again.
I'm not saying racism is worse than sexism.

I am saying Samantha Power is not a sexist, and did not say anything sexist.

And for you to claim it's sexism is really grasping at straws.

16. daemon: archaic spelling of demon
daemon 1 |ˈdēmən| (also daimon)
noun
1 (in ancient Greek belief) a divinity or supernatural being of a nature between gods and humans.
• an inner or attendant spirit or inspiring force.
2 archaic spelling of demon 1 .
DERIVATIVES
daemonic |diˈmänik| adjective
ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: common spelling of demon 1 until the 19th cent.
daemon 2 (also demon)
noun Computing
a background process that handles requests for services such as print spooling and file transfers, and is dormant when not required.
ORIGIN 1980s: perhaps from d(isk) a(nd) e(xecution) mon(itor) or from de(vice) mon(itor), or merely a transferred use of demon 1 .

What a tool. You don't even know what your name means.

6. Yes, the resignation was just for show
Just like Obama's wink wink to Canada on NAFTA.

You have just confirmed that Obama says one thing in public and another in private.

Just what we all want in a President.

7. No reason to believe what Obama says is true. Obama just another flawed politician.
So he asked her to resign for political reasons and he is going to call her back later to work for him? Makes Obama sound really good. I'm glad he's got you as a suporter.:eyes:
