Archivists block release of Clinton papers - what are they hiding?

Specifically, they're blocking documents on pardons and library donations which might cast an unflattering light on Hillary's campaign. We have spent eight years screaming for transparency, and this is what Clinton gives us. I'm undecided on a candidate (I'm an Edwards supporter), but Hillary's actions are pushing me closer and closer to going for Obama.

This isn't helping any.

Federal archivists at the Clinton Presidential Library are blocking the release of hundreds of pages of White House papers on pardons that the former president approved, including clemency for fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich.

That archivists' decision, based on guidance provided by Bill Clinton that restricts the disclosure of advice he received from aides, prevents public scrutiny of documents that would shed light on how he decided which pardons to approve from among hundreds of requests.

Clinton's legal agent declined the option of reviewing and releasing the documents that were withheld, said the archivists, who work for the federal government, not the Clintons.

The decision to withhold much of the requested material could provide fodder for critics who say that the former president and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, now seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, have been unwilling to fully release documents to public scrutiny.

20. One of the things about Hillary that has ALWAYS troubled me is her paranoia about releasing info.

It was her intractability about releasing information during various Clinton scandals in the 1990s that caused them to be dragged out for much longer than they needed to be. The real mystery to me is that often, the information she held back on was ultimately non-damning. That may be the case here, but we have no way of knowing that, and the only conclusion we're left to draw is that they're hiding something.

It's a bad, bad habit of hers, and she needs to get over it.
