We still win 40 states in the GE, regardless of who the nominee is
Will you folks have a Coke and a smile and reaize tha regardless of ho the nominee is, he/she will win in a landslide? But why? Thanks for asking, let me 'splain...

1. Bush's approval rating will be at 10% by the time the GE comes around, and McCain will USE HIM TO CAMPAIGN. That's an invitation for disaster.

2. All of this bullshit about not voting for your candidate, I'm fully convinced, is just that...bullshit. By the time the convention is over and you have the time to REALLY look at the differences between our candidate and McCain, I highly doubt you will vote for McCain because yur feelings are hurt because your guy or gal didn't win. The losing camp will step back, calm down, and come to their senses. Really, vote for McCain? Please...

3. This economy sucks. Always the single most important factor in whether the party in power stays in power.

4. The sub-prime and housing markets will only get worse, deepening economic woes. See point 3.

5. McCain is a fatally flawed candidate. From his age, his "100 years in Iraq" comment, to his admitted ignorance of economic matters, it's like putting a baseball on a tee to hit.

Just relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy your weekend.

1. This kind of attitude is why we keep losing.
We keep ignoring history. I'm sure we were saying the same things about Bush. We need to elect a nominee who has less of a chance of getting swiftboated.

2. Yeah, who would have thought
John Kerry's military service would be attacked? The pukes will swiftboat anyone for anything - there is no "nominee who has less of a chance of getting swiftboated."

3. I think that there's an implied adverb "successfully" in there
Of course they'll be ugly. One reason why I don't buy the "campaigning dirty" charge from my side of the fence is that this is a pretty tame primary fight. People calling it vicious are simply a bunch of weenies. I may think Clinton's rap on Obama is wrong, but it's hardly villainous or over-the-top.

4. Keep thinking that I won't vote for Hillary. I want to see the looks on peoples faces when....
McCain takes the oath of office because I voted third party because Hillary pushed away my vote.

My party keeps losing because we don't learn from history, and if Clinton wins the nomination, it will only prove my point.

6. Guess your hatred of Hillary is more important than SCOTUS.

7. McCain or Hillary - there's no difference in who they will pick.

8. Hillary didn't seem concerned about the USSC when giving her blessing to
McCain's qualifications to become president. More poor judgement on her part.

5. Not true.

We are not winning:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wyoming

That is 20 states right there that we are not winning.

More than likely, this will be a very close race, coming down to 1 or 2 swing states (probably Florida and Ohio). We need to stop thinking that this election will be a walk in the park. It won't.

9. Interesting list
which enforces and solidifies my belief that ignorance is a conservative value.
