Election Fraud Against Obama In Ohio: More Comes Out
http://isaacs.newsvine.com/_news/2008/03/06/1348806-election-fraud-against-obama-in-ohio-more-comes-out

Butler County in southwest Ohio is the most Republican county of all Ohio's 88 counties. 26 county offices and none of them are held by Democrats. Yet, the strangest thing happened on Tuesday... the Butler County Democratic Party increased in registered members by over 200% and now has more registered members than the Republican Party. Hillary Clinton won this county in the Democratic Primary by 10%.

Barack Obama won only 5 out of 88 counties in Ohio and those counties were the ones where Democrats are abundant. Yet Hillary Clinton won the state by only 10%. I have been told directly by Republicans here in Ohio that they voted for Hillary for the express purpose to either cause a split convention or to get her nominated because they know she is the weakest candidate against John McCain. To a person they will all be returning to voting Republican in the general election. To a judge monitoring the elections, Marilyn Hatfield, numerous Republicans taking a Democratic ballot said they were voting for Hillary "because of that thing Rush said." 1. If that's true, then it's a real sickness
I could not imagine voting for Huckabee (if I could) to sabotage the Republicans. It would be unethical. What's wrong with those Republicans? In my opinion, only a tiny number of people would engage in that kind of behavior.

3. It was more than a tiny #
Somehow I think the #s are so big this was done @ the BOE level.

Clarmont & Warren counties had "problems" too.

6. It is possible ...
... That this is a meme Republicans are pushing to rationalize the number of defections they are having. After all, we've all read articles saying that many white Republican women are voting for Clinton and many anti-war Republicans are voting for Obama. There's a real chance the Republican Party is facing some serious problems.

7. I think you answered your own question...
Dittoheads are unethical. And there are enough of them out here who will do anything Rush tells them to without question. Talk about a cult.

5. You should amend your title.
It should say: "Alleged Election Fraud In Ohio"

Your title is misleading and I suspect, on purpose.

8. Actually, it's not even alleged fraud...
people can vote for whomever they want, for whichever boneheaded reasons they choose.

9. Then that makes the OP title even more over the top.
Doesn't it? I think so but babsbunny is not on point, it seems.

19. It's one of those immoral, but legal sins...
like flirting with someone else just to piss off your spouse. Babs is pissed, and for good reason - so she's on point in sentiment.

14. not exactly

As the post cited in the OP explains, if a voter is challenged at the primary, then the voter would have to state under penalty of election falsification that he or she supported the principles of the Democratic (or whatever) party.

But as far as I know, that circumstance didn't apply. So, AFAIK, no election fraud here.

ETA: I'm not claiming direct knowledge of applicable Ohio law -- just working from a passage quoted in that post, and explaining why I don't think it means what the poster apparently thought it meant.

12. two things
I don't really want to tee off on the original poster here, who simply used the title of the post being quoted. Maybe the OPer could have done a bit more research.

The post being quoted explains why the author thought the term "election fraud" was warranted here: because, under certain circumstances, it is a fifth-degree felony falsely to avow one's desire to affiliate with a party that one doesn't actually support.

However, the language quoted there seems to apply only if a voter is challenged. I've seen no evidence that any of these voters was challenged, or that any of them realized he or she was doing something legally questionable.

So, I agree that "Alleged" would improve the title.

15. I also thought that if Obama was defrauded then so were the other candidates...
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 08:24 AM by Breeze54
So, I thought that the title should be generic and not pointing to just one candidate.

16. ok, well...
if they voted for Clinton, it's at least debatable whether Clinton was defrauded!

But like most things, there is more than one way to look at it.

17. Speaking of election fraud, there was voter suppression reported in Cleveland
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 08:33 AM by ariesgem
The streets just 'happened' to be closed in this poor, Black, Brown precinct.

from this blogger.:

If You Want People to Vote, DON'T BLOCK THE STREETS!

I went to vote yesterday in Cleveland, and of course, I was super AMPED to finally voice my support for Obama.

What I wasn't prepared for, however, was the crazy ride down Chester and Euclid after seeing humongous ROAD CLOSED signs blocking both entrances to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Imagine this: I'm driving with my two sisters in tow, trying to get at a parking space for the Board Of Elections, and I see two looming signs:

20. IMHO, the NAFTA thing played in Hillary's favor (shame she
failed to mention calling the Canadians with the "grain of salt" comment) and the fearmongering. The Dittoheads were probably a small factor.
