1. Good Stuff !!!
Great Post.

And I watched all 24 + minutes, too.

Sounds like this thing may go on for a long time...past June 7th and Puerto Rico and into August at the convention.

Historical to say the least.

6. Didn't sway me in the least
How can the people who botched this up so badly be counted on to fix it?

Ask yourself, ask anybody....what is the reason for a state, any state, to have a primary election?

I think it's to give the voters a choice among all the candidates.

In Michigan's case, legitimate or not, the primary was held on Jan. 15 and at that time, 9 candidates were still on the ballot from Iowa and NH. Five candidates, not just Obama, but Richardson, Edwards, Biden, Obama, and Kucinich asked their names to be removed. K's paperwork was supposed to be wrong, from what I've read. Biden said it was a beauty contest.

Now, since that left only one major contender, Clinton, and a few l% or less candidates remaining on the ballot, wasn't that enough reason for the primary to be canceled till they had a full slate of candidates to offer the good people of Michigan? What is the f'n reason to have it anyway without all the candidates.

We were led like sheep to a political slaughter.

Anybody who think this wasn't a plot to advance Hillary Clinton has to be very naive or dumb. All (almost) the elected officials are Clintonites.

7. The Michigan primary is for both republican voters and democratic voters
To cancel the primary, would mean to deny the oppositions choices as well. That's not democracy either.

8. not sure
Been laid up with a horrific cold, but I thought the RNC made a deal to accept l/2 of the repubs delegates....could be mistaken, but they did make a deal. I'm sure their delight over the Dem mess in MI has more than made up for any inconvenience they may have. Shows monumental incompetence in our party.

What I want is to see the elected officials look contrite and ADMIT they did wrong by our state. Helping "their" candidate to win was more important than fairness to the people of Michigan.

Anyways, the repubs are not neck'n neck like the Dems. McLame has it sewn up. Romney only won MI and I'm sure he'll part with his delegates tho McLame doesn't need them.

Besides, the Repugs had a full slate ballot - something our "leaders" never even considered for us. Just thinking of that cheesy cheap-looking crummy ballot with Clinton's name jumping out at me is something I'd like to forget.

10. We could have gotten around it by having a caucus...JUST LIKE WE HAD IN 04.
Our leadership just kept saying,
"Don't worry, they'll seat us"...

and force fed it to the voters anyway.

:puke:

I'm sure it is just COINCIDENCE that all of the
major players and decision makers are Clinton
supporters.

:freak:
