Spitzer got laid, O&H supporters/campaigns are duking it out ... and, meanwhile, batr,
"Crude Oil Trades Near Record $108 as Returns Outpace Equities"
"Bomber Kills 5 US Soldiers on a Patrol in Iraq’s Capital"
"CEO Pay: The Steroids Era"
"US military deaths in Iraq at 3,980"

People are losing their homes and their hope for the future ... and, yet, the M$M is captivated by a sex story and the candidates and their supporters/campaigns are acting like 5 y/o's fighting over who got to the swing set first.

From my vantage point, it doesn't look good for any of us 'real folks'.

1. We cannot make excuses for Spitzer

He's clearly wrong and an embarassment to his party and his State.

4. Cuz he got laid by a Pro? Are you serious?
If you have some other information indicating he actually harmed someone - used taxpayer money, hurt the Pro who served him physically or emotionally, or otherwise committed a criminal act (besides getting laid for $$s), please share. Cuz, otherwise, I file this kind of activity along with all the pot smokers and petty drug users who have been persecuted (locked up) for 'crimes' when, in fact, the only folks they really hurt were themselves and their families (by disappointing/embarrassing them).

7. Given that he's busted prostitution rings before it's the hypocrisy that matters to me
For the record I think prostitution should be legal and if Spitzer hadn't prosecuted people for doing the same thing that he did I'd have no problem with what he did.

5. Oh, puleez, stats indicate that most men cheat on their wives ...
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 11:35 PM by sanjiadem
and a whole lot of women cheat on their husbands .... "Recent studies reveal that 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their relationship."

Fact is, if you remove all of the adulterers and folks using Pro services from the pool of Professionals - both, governmental and private industry, I suspect there'd be few if any left.

And, besides, I thought the moral high-horse was, primarily, ridden by the Republicans - who only pretend to be morally superior, while proving in real life, they are just like the rest of us - flawed and human.

6. "most do it" that doesn't make it right
and just because a person is a liberal/progressive doesn't mean they have to give up their morality.
