As A New Yorker, I'd LOVE To See Hillary Run For Governor
if she doesn't win this primary. She'd be MUCH better suited to be governor of New York than she would be president of the United States.

She'd have to wait two years to run, though. But I think that's where she should end up. She could be elected in 2010, serve a four-year term, run for president in 2014. By then she'd have 10 years in the senate, four in the governors mansion, and she'd only be in her late 60's.

She'd be a great governor.

1. Run for president in 2016, you mean?
She'd be 69; the same age as Reagan in 1980, and possibly perceived as too old.

3. well, she'd start running in 2014 for the 2016 election.
But she'd still be young enough to make another run by then.

2. Y'know, this actually gives her a face-saving reason to get out of the race.
And, in the tradition of spouses filling unexpired Senate seats, guess who she could appoint to fill the vancancy...?

(I'm not that big of a fan of himself as some others, but it does make a good incentive for some...)

5. If she tones down her nasty rhetoric on the campaign trail
and just pushes her positives, instead of the scorched earth techniques, I think she'd be well accepted as a candidate for Governor in two years if she doesn't get the nomination.

6. As a Washingtonian, I'd love to see Hillary run for N.Y. Gov, too. Then we don't get stuck w/ her.

8. I'm beginning to think her political life is numbered if she doesnt get the nom.
I don't even know if she can win her senate seat against a strong republican challenger.
