What if the election would bring about a strong Democratic Congrees?
One that is strong enough to override a Republican President's vetos.
Would that be enough to bring change to the country?

That may be an alternative we have to consider and work on!!!

1. The best solution is increasing the dem majority and
electing a dem president. And we'll certainly increase the majority substantially in both houses.

3. I kmow it is the best solution, Cali but supposin' we lose the presidency?
The next best thing is a strong Democratic Congress. We have to work all the angles. The Republicans do!

4. We are working all the angles. The DNC has been strengthening
state parties for years now. Dems are running in almost all the House races. We have strong dem Senate contenders. We will win at least 5 new Senate seats and at least 15 house seats.

2. One of the reasons that I'm not unhappy about an Obama win.
I don't think he will win the Whitehouse but he will probably get many Dems elected to the Congress.

6. Need a strong majority even if we win the WH
because a President only proposes laws; Congress enacts them. Expect the repukes on Capitol Hill to try and keep any bills a Democratic President proposes from becoming law. They are good at party discipline, the Dems not so much. Which is why we need as many progressive candidates as possible, and fewer Blue Dogs who often go along with the GOP in about everything.
