As a CITIZEN who believes in open, accountable government, do you feel INVISIBLE
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 02:51 PM by blm
to those powerful Democrats who side with the secrecy and privilege of the powerful elite who are the most protected by the closing of government?

Which candidate do you feel sides with secrecy and privilege over the citizens - the one you feel you are most invisible to in this primary race?

3. Hoping that those who didn't know, might ask.
Not exactly a peripheral issue, there, is it?

5. Clinton.
I researched their votes and among the very few differing votes (not including non-votes, only actual votes where they voted differently), there was one for open government.

Before that time, I had been leaning towards Clinton due to her not voting for Cheney's energy bill.

7. Bah... I'm trying, but having trouble finding it...
there weren't many differences at all, though.

It was a bill to increase transparency, and while they've both supported other efforts, on that one she voted against and he voted for. I'll keep looking... sorry!

8. It's odd because it effects EVERY OTHER ISSUE - and most Dems don't even THINK about it
while they get caught up in the issues the RW and the media USE to distract them as they are losing their democracy and their rights.

9. Hey, she admitted it: It takes a Clinton to "clean up" after a Bush.
Ergo the panic and desperation of ClintonCo as they watch it all slip away.

10. BushInc was EXPECTING Clinton2, now they have to make SURE McCain wins so
we should be ready for anything. I think this Spitzer story is just Part1 of a whole story they're developing now that they can't depend on Clinton2 to protect them.

The road is always MOST difficult for open government Democrats. They have to fight the GOP and the powerful in their own party. Now that many of us know this, we have to do what we can to fight back harder and get our voices heard.

11. And we will see precisely what they are prepared to do
to prevent an Obama presidency. The silver lining is that this mess may lead to the rise of a viable third party from the ashes of the Democratic Party, a bittersweet aftereffect to be sure.
