2. He talked about how apparently "meeting the CIC threshhold" means years served in Washington.
He's talking about how his judgement was more than just a speech...

how he's not opposed to ALL wars-just unnecessary ones...He's now introducing generals and admirals behind him who will speak now.

i will ask myself every day whether i am serving the troops as well as they have served us...

my story is only possible in America...an America that stands as the light of hope to the world...an America where we meet the demands of the 21st century with judgment and a sense of purpose.

now introduces generals.

11. obama is the only one who got a critical issue right
the war...

the issue of temperment: sen obama was up in iowa, many not so up in NH, but he was the same Barack Obama, no shock Barack; no drama Obama. This is the kind of guy you want answering that phone...this temperament follows him to this day and <distinguishes him or something>

sen obama will help restore out economy. As a member of the military, he will help safeguard this country, etc.

maj gen someone: I like "no drama obama." I like that.

...spent over 4 decades defending the nation. I get the fact that this man...understands the full spectrum of strategy of protecting us at home and abroad. but he also understands the members of the guard and reserve; he grasps the full spectrum. he is the only active candidate...who has established goals to recognize the reserves and their role...etc

Now questions

19. Obama answering questions
He will make the final decisions and the policy, but he will listen to the military even when they tell him something he doesn't like.

That's different than bush because the generals said it would take more allocations and cost us more dearly....those generals were tossed aside. It's not a choice between ignoring the generals and passing the policy on to the generals....it's you making the decisions and being responsible for those decisions.

Sen Clinton is capable of being CiC and so is McCain, but Clinton used this as a political tool. This is politics and part of the problem we have now is that we have too much engaged in this to have it reduced to politics.

22. ....
the clintons understand. The 3 AM thing is a last minute gambit. This issue would have come up in the general election anyway, but these arguments aren't normally made by Democrats against other Democrats. It's usually republicons.

Senate Subcommittee Question. He can make the best input on the debate by running for president. the issues that are most at stake are already taken up by the senate....Nobody in the senate takes this argument seriously anyhow, and I think Sen Clinton realizes this.

He was asked if he thought Ferraro's comments were racist. He said he doesn't like to throw that word around. But they were definitely unfortunate remarks, divisive, and not consistent with our history.

37. He thinks Americans are frightened by a photo of him in traditional garb...
...that's what he was saying in Mississippi to get votes. Blamed it on the Clinton campaign. As if he didn't know who took the photo of him and where it was published. How insulting of Americans. He looks really kind of silly cute in the photo. No one is going to be frightened, Barry. It wouldn't rank as a scary Halloween costume.
