For years we've had threads locked because they came from bigoted sources. There are a variety of these.

One of these sources is our antitheses, which I'll not name here.

There is a righteous justification for disallowing this other site: "We will not give credence to "that site"". (Heard this many times)

Moderating threads using these sources is quite easy and important. There is no favoritism on any side of the primary in the process.

Lock the threads from bigoted sites automatically.

And compromising the integrity of DU at the same time. It's going to be real hard to enforce rules when you are ignoring them yourself, and the uneven enforcement creates the appearance of bias that so many believe is the case now (not me).

6. Agreed. I, and several others, alerted the newsmax link earlier but it was left up.

It had been proven to be false, it came from a bigoted rightwing source and the poster never once bothered to respond to a single post yet it was left to stink the place up as if rimjob had the run of the board. I know the admins want looser rules for GD: P, but there's no excuse in letting it turn into a mirror site for freerepublic.

9. DU rules have always been pretty loose.

Support the Democratic nominee, don't personally insult other members, don't threaten political figures with violence and don't post bigoted comments have been about the only rules here. Anyone who can't manage to do those things on a regular basis probably isn't that interested in actually discussing politics in a civilized manner, anyway.

Let them bring the questionable stories in and we'll vet them here. FOX stories suck but because of their big audience they need to be addressed here. So I'm thinking the same with others.
