9. Obamanoids?????
LOL, I won't even call you names in return.

This Obamanoid, thinks he would get a fair shot, only because there were those in the 60's that tried to vilify King, but he was such an upstanding person, they never could find anything to vilify him with.

5. He was always villified when he was alive
It is only a myth we've created that he was a beloved leader in his day. The people who supported him were the African American civil rights movement, parts of the white left, and parts of the international humanitarian community.

He was villified day in and day out, first for his positions on civil rights (it wasn't popular in the general media) and then for his position on the Vietnam war.

20. I agree
Some people here need to read Letters From a Birmingham Jail. Many white religious leaders wanted him to stop. They thought he was being a troublemaker.

6. He was an amazing person.
A man we have yet to see the likes of. He wanted more than anything, for all people to be of equal standing, regardless of race (and I am sure sex and sexual orientation these days).

Such a tragic loss for this country. I have to wonder if race issues would be better today if "they" had not murdered him.

I think he was such an amazing person, and speaker that the MSM couldn't have vilified him therefore they would have to embrace him.

7. His speech against the Vietnam War labeled him
as a traitor by the MSM back then, I think it was one
of his most powerful speeches. Pat Buchanan, Hannity and others would
be all over MLK

That's why he was assassinated because he spoke truth to power.

8. No doubt he would be villified.
He was anti-war fer crissakes. That alone would sink him. To imagine the MSM would have the clarity of vision to recognize a great man is unfathomable.
