Did Obama Resign From His Church? Did the Reverend?
they keep calling him, "former pastor". Shouldn't it be "former volunteer"? Is Obama signaling that he wants nothing to do with Reverend Wright?

2. Jimmy Carter did not quit his all-white church after a black family was denied membership in 1976
And people, including black voters, seem to have forgiven him.

9. I think Wright retired.
Congregationalist are told to think for them self. Who would quit their church because the guy said some thing they did not like. Heck every one ends up saying some thing one does not like. We would have to live in a closet not to hear it. Where do these odd people come from? I thought we were free thinkers. Who is making up these crazy rules that we have to hate some one that talks or will say things we do not like? Oh I for got to put my flag pin on. Sorry.

10. Obama started this whole thing by trying to appear unknowledgable
of what Wright was really all about and what he was preaching every week. THAT moment is where Obama really screwed up everything for himself. If he wasn’t so arrogant and would have been prepared for the inevitablity of being questioned about his racist, anti-US, anti-semetic, separatist church, he (more than likely) could have sailed through it and possibly even flipped it against his opponents. But now, Obama is on a downward spiral and won’t recover.

Only arrogance and stupidity would have made Obama think these things wouldn’t have been a big deal. Even a few libs (moderates) see this now. One good thing is that it will be fun to see Michelle really have to cool down her race-baiting rhetoric for a while.

Nothing about today’s speech changes my mind: Obama is running for the wrong job. I’m not looking for a healer or a preacher. I’m looking for an executive: someone who can make decisions, stand by them, accept and deal with the consequences. Someone who gets things done. Someone who understands that a tanking financial market will deny opportunity on an equal basis, regardless of race, race, or race. Someone who understands that a holy war against America isn’t America’s fault, and that defending America involves, you know, defending America.
