My http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/main/democrattotheend">new fundraising goal (upped a few times today) is $1,537.37 in honor of Obama's bowling score, as well as the significance of the number 537. Who wants to help?

Obama's score is nothing to crow about, but it's not all that bad for someone who hasn't bowled in 30 years. The media failed to report the abbreviated game, and the fact that he picked-up a spare in the 7th frame -- so his minimum score for the 7 frames bowled would have been 47. He'd improved dramatically from his first 3 bowls.

... and the reported score doesn't take that into account. So he scored 37 in six frames, but his minimum score for 7 frames would have been 47... higher based on the pins from his next bowl. And considering he hadn't bowled in 30 years, he'd improved dramatically from his first 2 frames. (0,4 ...to... 9,9,7,8,/10) Were Obama to take-up the bowl-off, I expect Hillary'd come to regret it.

He could have gotten a total of 117 if the last four balls were strikes. (I've done it plenty of times once I warmed up some).

He probably got no chance to warm up.. any league bowler can tell you their own horror stories about lousy games after not bowling for a long time and no warm-up. They can also tell you their stories about finishing off a lousy game with all strikes to make it at least halfway respectable.
