Could Carter's endorsement of Obama be forthcoming
Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 11:28 PM by davidpdx
I just recieved this via an email list:

Former President Jimmy Carter was in Nigeria with his
wife Rosalynn and made the following statement:

"We are very interested in the primaries. Don't forget
that Obama won in my state of Georgia. My town which
is home to 625 people is for Obama, my children and
their spouses are pro-Obama. My grandchildren are also
pro-Obama. As a Super Delegate, I would not disclose
who I am rooting for but I leave you to make that
guess," he said.

He is leaving it to us to "make that guess," but I
think he has dropped more than enough hints for us to
get it right. What do you think?

4. Bills probably red in the face and poking his finger at him right now....
...telling him he's a traitor, and the black guy is unelectable. Well, maybe not the last part, but I'm sure he'd be implying it.

...none of them are going to be America's spokesperson, unless the ruling plutocracy agrees. Whomever that might be.

shoes..David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Rumsfeld, Cheney, etc. They should be told to leave those secret organizations since they are not elected to represent us as representatives to other countries behind closed doors. It violates the Logan Act (John Adams and recently amended).

That is the only way we can take back our country from the oligarchy who rule today with their wars and financial manipulation.

By turning a blind eye we give them power to do as they please with our money and power. It is taxation without representation is it not?

24. In a democracy the people have a peaceful way of over throwing their
government by elections. If they can't do that...there will be chaos in the streets.

10. Jimmy Carter's Bush-like approval rating would come in handy
End-of-presidency job-approval rating:

Jimmy Carter: 34$
Richard Nixon: 24%

To have an idea, George W. Bush's approval rating, which is said to be awful, is at 30%.

14. Doesn't surprise me...
While Carter had low approvals as President, no one can seriously diminish what a true statesman and humanitarian he became. Your post is petty and a good example of the negativity I never fail to see regarding anyone who endorses Obama. You should be ashamed of your attitude.

25. I also saw this quote as well, which is telling
"My children and their spouses are pro-Obama. My grandchildren are also pro-Obama," the former president said at a news conference. "As a superdelegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for, but I leave you to make that guess."
