4. That doesn't make him a homophobe
It makes him a President working with a reluctant congress.

11. Well, we have some evidence
that Obama is less than comfortable with gay people. I've never called him a homophobe, though, but he sure doesn't seem to go out of his way to appeal to us.

12. That doesn't make him a homophobe
I don't recall that Bill Clinton gave interviews with any gay publications.

If a person doesn't get elected, he or she cannot do anything for anybody. Duh.

14. Bill Clinton isn't a homophobe.
DADT was a political compromise that a President Obama would have also signed off on.

6. Yes, Obama is such a homophobe that last night on College Bowl
he stated unequivocally that he supports all the federal rights that marriage entails for civil unions. He wants to rescind DOMA and DADT. Hardly the words of a homophobe- and he's given interviews to GLBT media.

8. Another cheap fraudulent thread. Clinton, Obama, Edwards and McCain declined.
Hillary just decided to change her mind. There is nothing to justify your claim of being anti-gay. Why do Hillary supporters have to depend on misleading people? This is why we are so hard on Hillary supporters.

With star struck Gay policy sellouts in the back seat.

He's done enough! Can't us gays leave this man alone!?:sarcasm:

19. There may be local reasons
"Most of the gay community's support had originally gone to incumbent state Sen. Vincent Fumo because of his long-term support for gay rights, but Fumo, under federal indictment for fraud and tax evasion, is facing health problems and is not running for re-election ....
Philadelphia Gay News publisher Mark Segal, a longtime Fumo supporter ..."
<http://www.citypaper.net/articles/2008/03/27/guv-grappling>

Obama is not against gay papers, in general:
"Obama was the first to turn to the gay press in the campaign, and -- according to his lead volunteer in outreach to the so-called LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community -- the first presidential candidate ever to buy a campaign ad in a local gay paper." .... Now that the campaign has moved on to the critical state of Pennsylvania, which votes April 22, the Clinton campaign looks ready to make some gay newspaper ad buys as well."
<http://www.mediainfo.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003785226>

Note that the paper endorses Friday -- perhaps Obama wishes to distance himself from Sen. Fumo's scandal.

(Believe it or not, politics isn't always about putting down the LBGT community.)

20. Keep us informed
gay people have a very small press, given their numbers in the USA, but I am sure Obama will talk to the gay press when he can fit it into his calendar.

If you, in the gay press, want to know where he stands, you can find out by viewing You tube videos from yesterday in West Chester, PA.

If you can't figure out where he is from that, I guess you folks really don't deserve to be journalists, now, do you!

Ask your damn questions, tell us how you have in mind. He will answer legitimate questions, not agenda-propaganda for your paper.
