Dan Abrams discussing manufactured press outrage.
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 08:29 PM by Patsy Stone
Describes this as a bored DC press corps scandal with no substance.

Lawrence O'Donnell, Michael Smerconish and Pat Buchanan are on. You'd be surprised to find that Smerconish and Buchanan disagree with Abrams' assessment of the situation.

2. It's always so funny to see Pat Buchanan get outraged over "prejudice."
If he would just come on TV in an "I Hate N***ers" t-shirt I would consider him a lot less of a liar.

5. LOL
Yep. Still wondering what possessed all of these old Jewish ladies in West Palm Beach to vote for him. :)

8. Well to hear supporters of a certain candidate tell it
those same voters won't vote for Obama, so it's all kind of come full circle in a neat way.

I have to keep checking my party registration to make sure I'm on the right board.

There is nothing to this 'bitter' story.

11. And it needs a translation
by Pat Buchanan to clarify it, apparently.

Hiya, Patsy!
I was waiting for Colbert on CNN, but this big deal in TX with the kids seems to be the program tonight.

And yes, Pat was backtracking like crazy. I'm on to him, and he annoys the hell out of me. :grr:

:hi:

18. That story
cut RAndi's time on Larry King short the other night also. The sheer number of kids is staggering.

21. I forgot about Randi being cut off. BTW, Colbert's up next.
And yes, it's a travesty in TX. I wonder what happens if they can't find the 16-year old who lodged the initial complaint? And I heard a former member today; she said it was a wicked (bad) place to live. Their discipline was scary.

13. Pat Buchanan
hurts my ears. It's a good thing that he has a loud voice, or else he would have to say something that makes sense once in a while, to make his point. He is the fucking poster child for bitter. He makes Oscar the Grouch look like Pollyanna.

I loved the deal about him having to get rid of his Mercedes when he ran for POTUS...he got a Navigator.

LMBO!

24. They were classic last night
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 08:41 PM by Patsy Stone
after the Compassion Forum. Candy Crowley and John King were discussing that Obama hadn't done enough to clarify this, and it would most certainly go on for a few more days, and never mentioned that the only reason it would continue was because they had hours to fill.

I thought he explained himself perfectly in Terre Haute, yet, somehow, I missed that footage being played over and over -- maybe because it wasn't.

They're working the hell out of this "bitter" thing. I first thought they were being obtuse, by not mentioning he was talking about the Republican wedge issues people vote on when their choice is between the lesser of two evils, neither of whom seem to care about their needs, but then I realized they were doing it on purpose.

28. Lou Dobbs was equally on point.
His female counterpart (I don't usually watch because I can't stand Lobb Dobbs, the true elitist and bigot) would end each segment with "Next More On Obama Slams Middle America" and the like. Wow. It's almost as if they are part of the Clinton campaign with this strategic tactic. Really spectacularly biased.

Hey, every time my blood pressure makes my head exploding more likely, I realize it is what it is and this is indeed Hillary's last stand.

BTW I LOVED the article "Hillary's Last Stand" by Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone recently. He is predicting that Clinton will attack Obama on patriotism. Look for it in a primary near you.

29. That would explain a lot, wouldn't it?
I watched with such exasperation last night, eventually had to turn the sound down or turn them off because I just couldn't stand hearing them go on and on and on about the "controversy."

You're right. There IS no "controversy" anymore and he doesn't need to explain any further. They're just going to keep talking about this because it fills airtime and there's still a week before the primary. (Yeah, as if they'll get NO red meat to chew on between then and now.)
