I watched the absurd National Enquirer style 'debate' last night and could only think that were it me in either of our candidates' shoes, I would not have been able to stay cool while being treated so disgracefully and disrespectfully.

Last night resembled nothing more than a cockfight, with bettors on the sidelines greedily calculating their gains for every drop of blood lost. (Not us, the media.) Our candidates came for a debate and were instead tricked into a mudwrestling match, or a lynching. Lesser people would have walked off, ending their candidacy. Thank God they are strong.

It's been said here and elsehwere that the 'debate' was a parody, an attack, an abuse of the use of public airwaves to disinform and mischaracterize our candidates.

God bless Barack Obama for being willing to go into the heart of darkness to heal our country. Hillary looked like it was consistent with her expectations, and she was prepared fully for it. I will set aside my tinfoil and thank her too.

Aloha.

1. Get off the fence, man. Which one do you hate so much that you'd rather vote for McCain?
K&R for a rare adult posting

9. I agree with your sentiment and would like to express my gratitude as well.
On the other hand, I thought the debate was very worthwhile. It brought out both the strengths and weaknesses of both candidates.

10. While I did not see the debates, I do appriciate the
efforts that both candidates have put themselves and their families through. Thank you to both of our Democratic candidates, and thanks to mahina for posting this.
