If OBAMA can't "close the deal," what does it say about HILLARY who can't beat HIM?
If he's such a "loser," he can't "close the deal," what does it say about the early "presumptive nominee" who started with SUCH a big advantage-who can't beat the guy who can't "close the deal"?

But if he was the nominee, he'd do GREAT at fairly attacking McCain.

49. Yes. He said as much. And today in a town hall, an 82 year-old woman stood up and told Obama he
shouldn't attack Hillary-that he's above that. She ended up going to him and giving him a kiss. He asked if she'd like to be his running mate. She was on FIRE with her comments! (She said how he won her over. Her real question was about the environment.)

She's had sixteen freakin' years to rig the entire election system in her favor, and she did, and she still came in third in the first fair fight.

And then she took the base for granted and hubris brought her campaign

All the more amazing that Obama -- who started as NOBODY -- has been
able to run a far superior campaign (and to be ahead, even after "the

30. In order for Hillary to seal the deal, she only needed to beat him in one state:
IOWA

I think everything woulda been a done deal by now had she pulled that off.

She couldn't seal the deal either.

And either candidate will destroy McCain in November. What we're seeing now with all these Clinton v. McCain / Obama v. McCain polls is an illusion created by the fact that it's seen as a 3 way race right now. When it gets down to a two person deal, McCain will quickly go down in flames.

28. To be honest, it's because they're both such good candidates!
I hate to sound so upbeat and counter to what the MSM is telling us, but Obama can't close the deal, and Hillary can't open the deal becuase they're both good, really good, and both have ultra loyal fans.

McCain, you must recall, was selected as the Republican party nominee because he was the LEAST BAD of the lot, and he was the "most electable". These are the qualifications DEMOCRATS usually use in determining their nominee.

This year we went the other way: given a field of good candidtes, we've whittled it down to the best two. Not the most electable (Edwards or Biden) or the least bad. These are two great candidates and we can't decide which we like more.

Personally, if not for the mud slung by Clinton in the campaign, I'd certainly be very glad to have her as our Nominee. Now I'm wouldn't be so happy, but I'd still accept it, likely.

Luckily I don't have to worry about Clinton getting the nomination because it's, quite simply, not going to happen.

I don't understand how each side can completely ignore the genuine enthusiasm of the other candidate's supporters.

A lot of people strongly support and really are enthusiastic for Obama. They are not delusional.

A lot of people strongly support and really are enthusiastic for Clinton. They are not delusional.

There are substantial differences and many similarities between the two, but on the whole, they're both great candidates. Actually I have to give Obama a bit of an edge as a "candidate". His campaign has been better run.

I simply do not understand why there is so much rancor. I don't see this rancor at all in the flesh world, only online.
