The real 'good' news in the CNN/Gallup poll
Is the fact that the results of the poll were announced over the weekend and were so far out of line with other surveys that they decided to go back and conduct more interviews (the initial poll had a margin of error of 4 percent, which is quite high) to make sure they had the correct result.

That is an extraordinary public slap in the face to Gallup. It is not uncommon to ask a pollster to do more interviews during the course of the poll, but to do so once it is finalized and published demonstrates a rather public lack of confidence in the polling organization.

I have not seen anyone pick up on that point yet.

1. When your pants fall down in public,
it doesn't do a lot of good to make the pants bigger.

(That's me being Southern for once in my life)

4. I like that one
Another Southern favorite: If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

Expanding the number of interviews is probably all they could do short of tearing the whole thing up and firing the pollster. If they decided to use registered voters instead of likely voters, the poll would have been more in line with the others, but then they would have been accused of being biased by the Republicans.

5. And CNN is desperately trying to shake off its "liberal" label,
a label which, IMO, they never deserved in the first place.

2. Since it appears to be just a glitch poll
it will be interesting to see the idiot pundits reaction when their next poll swings 8+ points to come more in line with reality. "Kerry Surges"? Whatever.

3. We need a whistleblower, to step out
from the whore's nest that is USA Today/CNN, who can explain how they have skewed these polls.

This seems like part of an attempt to steal this election -- keep the polls from showing Kerry's 6 to 12 point lead at this point. I think the laws against fraud in federal elections should apply if intent can be proven.

7. That Gallup Poll is A Deliberate and Calculated Attempt At
disinformation and propoganda. I've been on to Gallup's bullshit for a while and the poll is NOT surprising and it's NOT and abberation or an outlier, it is a deliberate tactic.

8. I was watching Fox & Friends
this morning. It was 4 am here in CA and I couldn't sleep so I turned on the TV. They had a guy from Gallup and were kissing up to him big time. He was kissing right back.
