1. Thanks!
Love the drummers!

I no longer watch the Sunday morning interview shows (now merely corporate propaganda platforms), so this will be nice with my morning coffee and doobie. :smoke:

10. I'm wondering why Kennedy isn't there.
A man who can enter a boat race should be able to give a speech.

11. IF you had just found out you had a cancerous tumor in your brain, which
would you find yourself doing?? Stessing over giving a speech...OR...entering a boat race, and enjoying yourself??? NO contest for me...NONE....since he picked his stand-in speech giver...there is NO reason for him to be there to oversee...It all makes perfect sense, really...Kennedy deserves to enjoy what's left of his life, imo, if he wants to race boats every day for what time he has left...who among us, has the right to tell him he can't or criticize him if he does??...wb

15. Good Speech giving a story about his Organizing in Chicago
Tying it into Kennedy's public service...... He is asking them
to consider public service because you have a duty to yourself.

28. He cultivates CrabGrass and QuackGrass for his lawn
What exactly is quackgrass?

Quackgrass (Agropyron repens) is a perennial and has a really tough root system. Seedlings can be pulled easily, but once established, quackgrass is tough. If you can pull a clump, it probably is crabgrass, not quackgrass.

27. No. It was a very different speech.
It was the kind of inspirational speech you wold hope to hear as you prepare to enter the real world. It wasn't a stump speech but it did give us a good idea what it will be like hear from President Obama.

the speech for them to be doing that. If they hadn't cut it off, maybe we would have heard something.

I loved the impromptu words of Jamaica Kincaid when she recieved her honorary degree.... don't remember exact words, but something to the effect of....I wasn't going to say anything about Barack Obama, but I just have to say that when you see something or someone who inspires you, grab it and run with it....so wish I could remember her exact words...anyone know?
