Barack Obama's transistion team is very far along in the process of getting briefed by the few Bush staffers that are left. It's a bit like prying clams open, but as this overwhelming election victory last month proved, these people are up to the challenge.

All of the old Rovian tricks were no match for how fed up the average American is with what they now have to put up with in Bush America. John McCain had no chance. Yes, they race baited. Yes, they sleazed up the joint. But Obama's wit, fundraising, and ground support by regular people like you and me quickly washed those pathetic old school ideas away like a tidal wave.

I hope you have a wonderful new year as we anticipate the biggest rock concert ever--Barack Obama's Inauguration. WOOHOO!

4. Happy Diwali! Obama is leading like crazy in the polls and Americans are just nicer, happier,

and politer than usual knowing that the walls come down in 6 days!

(Diwali occurs October 28th of this year, since my husband is Indian it's always observed with hope for the coming year!)
