Sucked into a huge hole of propaganda, like a giant magnet...
That's what I feel is happening. Truth and facts are ignored. The corporate media tell their tales and move on. It doesn't seem to matter what we say or do?

Just as they distorted and lied about General Clark's remarks. They said he criticized the service of John McCain. That was a lie. And when Obama said that he still thought we could get the troops out of Iraq in 16 months, as he had said several times before, but that the policy may need to be refined once he talked to our commanders on the ground. They took the Republican talking points and ran with them. They accused Obama of flip-flopping on his Iraq position. Because once he is branded as a "flip-flopper", the game is over. He loses. He does not have the "character" to be President.

Obama is on the defensive and he will remain on the defensive so long as he has to respond to the charges of the McCain and the corporate media. He had to come out and clarify his position twice in one day on the Iraq withdrawal issue. Today, he finds himself clarifying his position on taxes. He says he will not raise taxes on those making less than $250,000 dollars.

The first debate is 2 1/2 months from now. I can imagine the damage that will be done by then by the corporate media if the present strategy continues. It is not possible to be on the defensive everyday and trying to explain your positions without losing some credibility and support. I do not know the answer.

But, I feel like I am being pulled by a huge magnet. I have no control over what I think or do. The propagandists will decide that for me. It would not be wise to attack John McCain, or so they say. He is untouchable. It would not be wise to point out his deficiencies. Or so they say...

1. The media are irrelevant dinosaurs! Obama has created a movement.
Too many people are hopeful and are listening to HIM not them. He will win in a landslide as long as the election is not stolen. Huge numbers of young people are getting out the vote and to vote. Fear not.

3. I think the above poster is right... people are waking UP...it IS a "movement"
I was simply amazed at how well Obama did DURING and on the heels of massive attacks. Frankly the Rev Wright thing was incendiaray.... should have by ALL rights destroyed us.

No way... he did better than before in short order. YES, people ARE waking up.

The corporate media is frantic now. But the more they insult the intelligence of the people, the more the people are revolting.

Gobama, MF. Take THAT, eh?

5. Thats right, the Wright thing, at any other time, would have destroyed him.
I was sure it was over then. The media played the clip over and over again. It sank my heart. I knew there was no coming back from that. But, lo and behold, Obama overcame it with the people in strong numbers standing behind him. We won that battle. If we can win that one we can win them all.

4. I agree with the other posters. However, I will say that MSM is in a frenzy to destroy him. What I
like is that he hasn't become ridiculously defensive where he's always defending his point. He just clarifies, mocks, or condescends and moves on. ~high-five~ to that.
