I am a longtime Obama supporter, but what I am seeing this week has me really, really worried! Doesn't anybody remember what happened in 2004, with John Kerry? I don't think anyone remembers what happened, what with the Swizzlesticks and all! This is very very bad. I think we should all be worried, since Our Nominee seems to be laying down and taking it, just like the guy Dukakis in some other historical time. When are we going to learn that we should be more worried, and that the other Party is all powerful? Doesn't everybody know that the American people are dumber than DUers, and will fall for ANYTHING?!? I'm very very worried, especially after this week with all these ads!

Some of you people think you're sooooooooo smart, but that's why you don't understand that we should be really really worried about all these ads! Because I'm not as fancy and smart as some of you claim to be, I know that history teaches us that Swiftsticking was very very effective! When are we gonna learn?

While the site self-selects for teevee viewers (at least judging half the subject headers, "OMG! Rachel! Joe!"), DUers are probably critical thinkers compared to the modal teevee watcher, which is frightening as realizing freepers are the creme de la creme next to an average 'conservative' who couldn't articulate his deepest fears without an N-word (unless that's what freepers are doing nowadays, I get vertigo thinking about their bathroom stall scrawl of a website (although I get the same feeling at dailyKos for different pissing-on-yourself reasons))). But yeah, without a sarcasm tag a seeming majority of DUers (or non-lurking DUers) and/or Americans won't grasp these subtle textual cues better known as "hitting you over the fucking head", but I suspect a minority actually read beyond the headline (even if "go all ninja on they ass" should have been a dead giveaway).

9. I watched the 2004 problems with the attacks and I too am worried.

BUT Obama is a different man than Kerry and when he responds it is often with a soft voice laced with strong well thought out words. Today for instance he joked about being too thin. It was the perfect answer. Made them look like fools. He answers without turning dirty. Also he is running against a much different opponent in a different age. McGaffe is doing as much to lose all by himself than any of us could do to him. And our economy is in so much trouble that many are going to vote their pocketbook no matter what the candidates do. Obama's $1000 rebate was another soft answer that will resound in every household.

What would help Obama would be us doing what we should do: register new voters, write letters to the editor, talk with our friends and family, donating so he can keep the rapid answers he has been giving on the air because we know that the MSM is not going to give him the positive air time he needs.
