Election Activism: Rolling out a prototype, please PM me if you would like to participate...
Edited on Sat Aug-02-08 09:33 AM by rosebud57
The activism is highly structured but can be done by anyone/anywhere who can logically and factually make an argument for a particular viewpoint with the stated goal of undermining the opposition using written communication skills.

Which is everyone on DU because we are so damn smart!

Edited to add, very little time required AND not surprisingly due to the bottom up democratic nature of the O campaign the prototype of this idea has caught the interest of official campaign people on a local level.

7. kick for AM swing state comments needed on Portman for VP story
Use every opportunity to slam McCain and tar all republicans with George W. Bush & Cheney. This will get a lot of page views today & tomorrow as it will be teased prominently. PM me to find out more about the prototype.

http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080803/NEWS0108/808030349/1019/EDIT

Unfortunately for Rob Portman, George W. Bush and the McCain Republicans happened. When Cheney said, "Reagan proved deficits don't matter," and the Republican controlled congress proceeded to loot the treasury, not one bill of which Bush vetoed. This Bush/GOP mess we currently find ourselves in due to the fiscal irresponsibilty of the party that only talks about fiscal responsibility

Along comes McCain 8 years later seeking the nomonation of a party controlled by Grover Norquist & their record-setting $482 billion deficit.

McCain like Bush, is touting another round of tax cuts skewed towards those making $2.7 million and up. If there is anything that has been disproved by Bush 43 is that "trickle down economics" produces jobs, as job creation the past 7 years has been paltry.
