Bush fan club:

President Bush got a few big laughs during a GOP congressional fund-raiser at the Gates Mills home of Umberto Fedeli this week.

Bush pledged support for GOP presidential nominee John McCain and said he knew the best way to help him: "I'm gonna endorse Barack Obama!"

The president also praised America as a land where an immigrant can arrive with nothing and whose son, the evening's host, can take advantage of all the opportunities the country has to offer, "Then call a few friends and have the president over for dinner."

Fedeli gushed: "The guy is full of love."

He said if Bush had known what the Iraq war would cost in terms of human lives (4000 soldiers, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis) he would have never went in. For what its worth, I believe that. He's incompetent, but I don't know if I'd call him 100% evil (cheney and rove on the other hand..)
