To any PUMAs out there this is not helping Hillary.
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 04:24 AM by barack the house
The protests are not going to make Hillary the nominee, the party would look foolish to overturn a result, the GE is not a popular vote, the primary is not, even at full seating she was behind. As for media unfairness why are there those that felt it would improve after the 90s??. Secondly you only have to imagine that you had the power to offer the VP slot. Do you offer it to people who ask nicely or offer it to them that demand the running mate post. So, if you really want for Hillary to be on the ticket the wisest mature thing to be doing is emailing barack obama nicely to convince him that she is the best vp. That is the only viable option I see. Anything else isn't helping her. Hillary is trying her best to show that she is the best vp out there all the protests are doing are working against this. It all depends if you genuinely support her at this point. Positivity creates negativity destroys.

2. I believe they're real they have been with her 8 years it's bound to be a blow after all that time..
Remeber some may of backed her since her senate run, but if they truly love this woman they need to tread lightly than to blow all her chances would seem wisest to me.

3. I didn't say they weren't real, but when you have in your name "unity my ass"
that tells me they don't care for the country, the party, just the person, and your common sense argument with that group will get thrown right back at you

The majority of Clinton supporters WILL support Obama because they realize what mccain is, especially to women's rights

PUMA is NOT the majority, though I have no doubt that the media will try to make it appear that they are.

18. I think I know one you're talking about, and he/she isn't PUMA. Just lukewarm on Obama.
Which I could care less, as long as we have her/his support in November!

10. It's not Hillary they really care about. She's just their shield.
What they really care about deep down is themselves, and not much else.

11. Do PUMA's ever come on DU?
I seriously think we should just forget them. They can stay pissed at Obama as long as they want. I'm pretty sure that 75-80 % of Clinton supporters are on board, and atleast 3\4 of the remaining 20-25% will either write hillary in, vote third party, or stay home. That leaves about 5 % of Clinton supporters (PUMA's) who will vote McCain.

12. They get tombstoned.
Too many former DUers went PUMA after the primaries, and now post on insanely anti-Obama sites like Capital Hill Forum and hillaryclintonforum.net.

More an interesting phenomenon than a real threat, I think. One thing is for sure - they are bitter. Yikes.
