And we must build ties to the people of Cuba and help advance their liberty by allowing unrestricted family visits and remittances to the island while presenting the Cuban regime with a clear choice: if it takes significant steps toward democracy, beginning with the unconditional release of political prisoners, we will be prepared to take steps to begin normalizing relations.

Please bear in mind that these words come from one the hyper-capitalist parties of the United States. They have a fanatical hatred of the word Socialism."

And so, they continue with the failed policies of the past, continuing to ignore the very important fact that liberty came to Cuba on January 1st. 1959, when Fulgencio Batista, America's supported puppet, was kicked out of power.

They continue to try to impose preconditions on any future "normalization of relations."�

As long as the United States Interests Sections in Havana continues to fund and direct Uncle Sam's mercenaries inside the island, nothing much will change.

I am sure that the Cuban people and their constitutionally established government would be willing to talk with the American government, if the talks are conducted on the basis of mutual respect. They will not accept preconditions or ill conceived plans.
