9 Weeks Left - Do You Know Where Your Campaign Is??
9 weeks to go (that's weeks, not months). Actually, take one week off for the Repub convention and consider that you aren't going to move anyone in the last two weeks and there are 6 weeks left!!! And here we are moving down a river in 'Nam on a Swiftboat.

Now, tell me, how do we get the media to focus on Kerry?? Think maybe more speeches on our "positions"?? Think by running defense against those swiftboats?? Think.........someone better and soon. If they came into this fight without a bomb to drop on George, they came unprepared to fight this kind of war. It's getting a bit late to lay the groundwork of "George the Liar" or "An Administration of Deceit". Those type of images take a well coordinated series of attacks. Besides the swiftboats, I note that Bush is doing series after series of "Kerry the Tax Raiser", "Kerry the Anti-Military Spending Senator", etc. They have had a theme going for months. We still don't have a theme that assaults Bush. We still have not defined Bush. When it's a sitting president you absolutely have to give people a reason to get rid of him and you have to assume that the people have been too dumb for the past 4 years to have noticed how awful the guy was.

9 weeks......and counting.....

1. Lots of people will in fact decide in the last 2-3 weeks.
This campaign has a long, long way still to go.

2. I agree
We still have the conventions and the debates, both of which could be very important (or yawn inducing bores).

3. that was 'yesterday's campaigns. Not with the close race this is.
They will be locked up this year by 2 weeks before. So very few would be changing that it wouldn't make a difference even in the close states. The goal this time around is get them by two weeks out or it isn't going to do much good.
