The Speech Obama Should Deliver At The Convention
This one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnhmByYxEIo">Barack Speaks To HQ Staff & Volunteers

Not that content of course, but that's the kind of speech it should be, only instead of focusing on what needs to happen to win the campaign lay out what needs to happen in the next four years of governing... in that exact tone he's using there. Everyone in the MSM and the country expecting a feat of showmanship. Soaring oratory in front of a stadium full of screaming fans reacting to applause lines... and then Obama walks out and he sits the entire Democratic party down and lays out where we're going from here, detailed policy, sober and deliberate (but being Obama, still friendly and engaging of course). And in one blow he destroys all the effort McCain and company have been trying to pour into this idiotic "empty suit celebrity" meme. It'll be unexpected, which will mean lots and lots of talk generated about how it was unexpected afterwards among all the pundits... which means tons of "wow, he really hammered away at the policy details there" discussion. It'll drive McCain's surrogates with their "he's just a celebrity!!" talking points insane.

2. Not worried about his ability to meet expectations.
A little worried that the campaign is going to be too focused on creating a spectacle and not on pivoting into showing the electorate who is just starting to pay attention to what's going on that he can kick McCain's ass on policy as well. Whatever speech he gives I'm quite certain it will be pulled off to perfection... I'm just worried if it's going to be the right speech at the right time.

Yeah, maybe nerves getting the better of me considering Obama's track record with speeches, but still.
