Hey Walt (or anyone else that knows) does a ANG22 = DD214?

Is the ANG22 the same as the DD214? In otherwords, is the ANG22 the official "release of duty"?

2. Not familiar with ANG22

The ANG sounds like a National Guard form, but I don't see such form listed here:

3. Its a type of discharge paper for the Air National Guard NOT DD214 though

Im wondering if the two documents report different things or if the ANG22 is the same as a military DD214.

4. Not the same. Bush hasn't authorized release of his DD214.

And that DD214 is the last word on whether he received an honorable or less than honorable discharge.

5. Looking at it, it appears so. Although...

I have seen a lot of 214s and other orders in my day and had never heard of an ANG-22. But, there it is, and it looks as though it serves as a 214.
