Jeb Bush skipping own brother's Convention
Blame it on Charley. What's Jeb doing? Shoveling shit?

Gov. Jeb Bush To Skip GOP Convention
Bush Says Charley Recovery Too Important

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday that he won't attend the Republican Party Convention in New York later this month, where his brother will be re-nominated, because of the importance of the Hurricane Charley relief and recovery effort.

"There will be a role later on for me to play," in the presidential race Bush said while speaking to reporters before a Cabinet meeting. "The recovery phase of this is important to get started and ... being up in New York is inappropriate.

"It's appropriate for others but not for me," the governor said.

Bush said he had planned to have a limited role anyway, saying he doesn't really like the national political scene anyway.

"I just don't like all that big dog, big foot national stuff," said Bush, who attended the 2000 Republican Convention in Philadelphia.

"I'm going to help my brother and we've got a great team in place and they're working really hard, but being on the Today Show to talk about inside political stuff is not who I am and that's kind of what you do when you're at these national conventions."

1. "There will be a role later on for me to play?"
you bet Jebbie - rigging all those Diebold machines, scaring poor blacks to death, clearing the voter rolls, setting up roadblocks, any number of things for you to do....

7. Jeb is really being modest
He has already gotten a good start on intimidating likely Democratic voters:

http://www.iht.com/articles/535314.html

The use of state troopers to zero in on voter turnout efforts is highly unusual, if not unprecedented, in Florida. But the head of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Guy Tunnell, who was also handpicked by Jeb Bush, has been unfazed by the mounting criticism of this use of the state police. His spokesmen have said a "person of interest" in the investigation is Ezzie Thomas, a 73-year-old black man who just happens to have done very well in turning out the black vote.
.
From the Republican perspective, it doesn't really matter whether anyone is arrested in the Orlando investigation, or even if a crime was committed. The idea, in Orange County and elsewhere, is to send a chill through the democratic process, suppressing opposing votes by whatever means are available.

8. Busy working on those voting machines much?
Or maybe poring over the voters who will be expunged from the roles?

Yeah, rigging the Florida vote again will be crucial.

10. Same "role" as last time
Actually maybe they did a little research and Jeb's marketing guy thought that maybe this would not be a good photo to have on TV.

9. LOL
We can always cite this as an example.

Hey, Jeb seems pretty cool. Or maybe he can smell the odors of corruption and slimebag treason too from his bro'.

4. Legislature has been asking for special Charley session, Jeb says no.
He says he can handle it all by himself. He must be afraid to leave.

6. First Jebby, then the Tanqueray Twins....
even Chimpy is only going to be there for a few hours. Does anyone know who else is bagging the "celebration?"

I am getting a little suspicious about Bush family members steering clear of NYC. Are they that afraid of us, or do they know something we don't?
