I got the same canned response from John S. Foote,Clackamas County D.A.
This was my reply to him.

"Sir, I wouldn't call knowingly signing an affidavit he knew to be false to be a simple matter of an "honest disagreement", would you?

I imagine that even in Oregon, you or I would be hard pressed to find any case law that would support your position."

1. You know what? The canned response does not bother me.
Because it just tells me he is getting a whole lotttttttttttt of emails.

I'm glad that you replied to his response, though! And it looks like the state bar association is looking into an ethics violation.

2. He may find Mr French's involvement to be too much of a
distraction to his office..not to mention th ethics complaint.

If some of the assholes were held accountable for this perhaps it'll be a wake up call and get others to wake up and disavow these morons.

3. I was just watching the evening news (local) and the story they did
mentioned that he is also a co-prosecutor on the Ward Weaver case. They (the news) asked the question of whether or not this controversy will affect the case.

Why do I find that annoying?

4. Don't know why you would..
I don't know anything about the case in question but..

if the DA on any case is suddenly shown to be a liar, that sort of throws a light on any and all cases he's been involved with.

5. Weaver killed two teenagers.
Miranda Gaddis and Ashley Pond. That case does not need any problems. It needs justice. It would suck badly if the case was screwed up because the D.A.'s integrity was called into question.

6. Looks like that horse is already out of the barn...
that would be a real shame to have killers walk because of some misguided political Bushit.

7. Same Canned Response
This is what I sent in response.

As a veteran USAF(1969-1973). I find these attack ad lies insulting.

Evidently Mr. French is willing to put political expediency above both the standards of his profession and his own character.
