You know that group that is part of the 60 mill who voted for Bush.

They like the short quick sound bytes. That Bush was famous for and it appears McCain is going to try to do. I don't know how we reach these people. It appears Obama, much like Kerry is going to be punished for being smart and thoughtful.

We'll always win the college graduate vote. The smart voters who see through bullshit. But you need more than that to win. No doubt the smart, thoughtful people will like how the Obama did tonight. But the majority of people will think McCain was the best.

The Democrats have got to find a way to reach that idiot voting block. Being smart is no longer cool

2. I agree with your sentiment but I view it just a bit differently
These people I consider "low information voters". There are many reasons they might fall into that category, too much work, too little easily available information, lack of critical thinking skills. The general population has been dumbed down for decades. Those who escaped the process are the bright lights, but I won't fault those who fell prey to forces beyond their understanding. A decade ago I would have fallen into that group you call the "idiot voting block", I saw the light and I'm sure many others will as well. It's just a matter of informing and educating everyone we can. Nobody is hopeless.

3. I do blame them. It's laziness, pure and simple.
