He answered he'd DEFEAT evil. On the other hand, Obama pointed out that "evil" exists in many forms, including injustice in our own country, saying he'd CONFRONT it. Does America REALLY want another president who thinks just like Bush? (Thanks to Roland Martin for pointing this out.)

1. How come these 'conservative christians'
always seem to miss the whole point of christianity..

they seem to think evil is an external force, like they've been
reading their bibles like comic books.

we're not getting anywhere until evil confronts itself.

3. I wish that I could Kick & Rec your post!
Right on!!!! :kick: I am a liberal Christian who is sick of having to excuse the behavior of born-again boneheads who missed the whole point. I have family who falls into this distinct category. She just informed me that "my guy" didn't do so well next to McCain. I wish that DU had an emoticon for a dim bulb...

4. was it bin laden, or al Quada who raped and murdered Abeer and
her family?

Was it 'al Qaeda' that bombed the Murrah bldg? That dragged Mr. Byrd to his death? That murdered Matthew Shepherd? That inspired Charlie Manson?

McCain sees life through a very narrow and deadly lens. War, war, and war.

I know I won't ive through 4 more years of this kind of mentality- I don't believe our nation will be able to survive it either.

5. It doesn't matter, if you're a Repub., I guess...
Like you said, everything is war, war, and war with McCain AND his supporters.

If McCain is able to beat Obama, it will be fully due to the media's continued worship of the "straight-talking maverick" McCain.
