After Taking A Little While Off...

From volunteer work for the Obama campaign, we're getting re-organized here in my area again. Our campaign headquarters in Lancaster closed shortly after our primary and I haven't done much since, except a few one-on-one political conversations with frinds & acquaintances locally, and of course the occasional snark posts here.

Our new campaign headquarters opened last week and we had a nice "Grand Opening" party and today our local regional group had a meeting with our new field organizer. A lot of the people I worked with during the primary were there, as well as a bunch of new volunteers from the area.

It's great to start focussing on the campaign from the grassroots perspective again. We're going to have a lot of things going on here, starting right after the convention. I have to say, after the summer of mostly trying to ignore the M$M, I'm fired up!


In a totally unrelated topic, I'm going to see Bruce Springsteen at Hershey Park on Tuesday. B-)

There was a campaign staffer there from Philly that filmed us at the end of the meeting for use in a future ad for the campaign. That was cool.
