This Is Obama Angry - on the Illinois abortion bill. (VIDEO)
Utterly unhinged, I tell you!

Whatever it is, I like.

This Is Obama Angry
from The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan by Andrew Sullivan

A bit like me after transcendental meditation:

I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying. I have said repeatedly that I would have been completely in, fully in support of the federal bill that everybody supported - which was to say --that you should provide assistance to any infant that was born - even if it was as a consequence of an induced abortion. That was not the bill that was presented at the state level. What that bill also was doing was trying to undermine Roe vs. Wade. By the way, we also had a bill, a law already in place in Illinois that insured life saving treatment was given to infants.

So for people to suggest that I and the Illinois medical society, so Illinois doctors were somehow in favor of withholding life saving support from an infant born alive is ridiculous. It defies commonsense and it defies imagination and for people to keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond. It's one thing for people to disagree with me about the issue of choice, it's another thing for people to out and out misrepresent my positions repeatedly, even after they know that they're wrong. And that's what's been happening.

1. K&R!
Obama needs to get out front on this because we already know that McCain is going to drive this one home over and over.

2. Who suggested Obama was angry?
Brody said "wait until you see his response." Do you think he was talking content or temperament?

Obama is one of the coolest people I have seen, but this "angry" thing is being played. corsi, on C-Span, said he wasn't sure if Obama should be the one in charge. His reaction to the book, according to corsi, was pure anger. He even said Obama went "ballistic." I hoped someone would question him, I tried to call, but he got away without explaining his charge.

corsi, I think, was saying Obama's release of the 40-page rebuttal was the problem. I think it is a rather scholarly response. Definitely not angry.

4. Personally, what Corsi "says" about Obama doesn't mean shit.
And why we would even act as though it does, doesn't even make sense on our part.

Fuck Corsi.

5. Personally, what he says means shit to me also.
I worry about "the others" who hear it. I'd love to think they will see through the BS, but they were convinced 4 years ago that it was Kerry who was the traitor, not the draft dodgers in the administration.

I wish everyone was as enlightened as those on DU, but they are not. An "angry" label placed on Obama will do harm. corsi's claim alone shouldn't cause too much upheaval, but if it is constantly repeated, it will stick with some.

6. Halperin says "After Saddleback, Obama Gets Heated With Brody"
This line was parroted by ABC, sludge and a few others I think.

3. Obama needs to go after McCain and drive up his (McCain's) negatives.
