We need Biden more than ever now
Biden is not afraid to attack Bush/McCain. He hits and he hits hard. We have to learn that being polite does not always work. We need to highlight exactly what Bush has done to this country and show the people that McCain supported him almost every step of the way. I honestly can't think of another candidate that is as effective when it comes to highlighting the Republican lies. I understand why Obama wants to stay above the fray but he needs someone to attack the hell out of the Republicans.

1. Exactly
I wanted Biden to be the nominee... But VP is cool with me!

Kaine DID impress me on MTP today, though.

People say he will be portrayed as not representing change, a loose cannon, or whatever by the corporate media. They could even bring up his "plagiarism" from the eighties. Well, of course the corporate media can and will bring up all those things. He has a D after his name. But if they really want to bring up the "plagiarism", all Dems have to do is ask McSame do you really want to go down that road? Keating Five, anyone?

The point is any Dem will be vilified by what passes for journalists today. The difference is Biden will fight back.

4. And if they want to stick with the plagiarism theme, we can always bring up
Wikipedia.

5. I'm just sick of taking the high road and losing. I'm not saying to
outright lie like the Republicans do. All we need to do is hit them with the TRUTH! The truth in this case is powerful enough. We have to fight back hard now if we want to win. I betcha if we did that the Republicans would be like "What the hell?" They would be shocked that we were holding them accountable for all of the crap they have done.

6. I think a lot of people feel that way.
I went to a town hall forum last night featuring Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Sam Seder, Randi Rhodes, and Mike Malloy, and moderated by Ron Reagan. At one point in the forum, they started tossng out VP names. Biden and Feingold got the biggest rounds of applause.

Not a scientific measure, of course, but it was interesting to see the responses to the different names tossed out there.

7. Steve Clemons says the decision HAS BEEN MADE
and he thinks it is Biden. Probably. Maybe. Hope so. We'll see.

"I have been informed that the decision has been made, and I don't know who that person is.

I also have been told that Tom Daschle is not the running mate. I also happen to know that it is not Wesley Clark.

I just received word that it is not Senator Jack Reed either, though Obama thought very highly of him."

8. Will He DARE To Say Being Shot Down In A Place Does Not
automatically qualify someone to be president? Question: Is Biden a veteran? I'm not sure.

12. Biden is not a veteran
I think there was some medical disqualification for the Vietnam draft but I don't know the details.

I think his eldest son (Joe III, aka Beau, Delaware Atty General) is in the National Guard and his unit has been given notice they might go to Iraq, but that hasn't happened yet.

My impression is that Biden has been supportive of the military and veterans but I don't know what veterans' groups have to say about him.

9. he hits VERY hard. I saw him give a speech at DNC 2004 and was floored by how good his attack dog
mode is. He lashed out at Bush in an epic style. That's when I became a Biden fan.
