Veep fever is only once each 4 years, often every 8 years.
That's part of the thrill of the extensive speculation.

A lot of county organizatons are sitting around tables eating sandwiches, apples, and diet Pepsi, speculating a lot more than we are. Which makes sense, although for a blog, I think DU has been notably outstanding. Certainly it's the most comprehensive.

And often funny and consistently informative. People who followed the action on DU would be a lot more informed at their polling precinct than someone who followed most local news stations, where news coverage is pretty thin on state and local issues and often non-existent on national stuff.

So I'm into it. We'll only have a few more days, really, to bounce off the walls and try out possible names and nominees. It's not a fever every single person catches, but for those of us who do catch it, it's a delirious affliction and we love every moment of it.

And it's even more fun because the blue team has the deep veep bench and McCain has a sorrowful lot of losers. Choo choo choo choo goes the Schadenfreude Express.

If we don't get to do it again for 8 years, let's by god make it count now.

1. I haven't much been into the guessing game, but I do wonder
about McSame. He's fast running out of options, it seems. Whoever he picks, lots of people for different reasons are bound not to like his selection. You're right, a sorrowful lot of losers there.

:hi:

2. Hey there good person. Yes. McCain's in a bit of a muddle and a hell
of a mess.

If a dried gonad like Tim Pawlenty is your best pick for the vice presidency, you're already in a heap of trouble.
