58. Then you should demonstrated it
you asked a question and your question was answered. When you did not like the answer because there was nothing in the answer to bash Hillary with... you changed the question.

That is hard evidence that you are not interested in the question asked in your OP. You are only interested in reliving the primaries and bashing Clinton.

Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 05:27 PM by FreeState
Dear XXX,

We are just 75 days away from a historic election where Democrats have the opportunity to take back the White House and win strong Democratic Majorities in Congress.

I've stood in the House chamber to deliver the State of the Union Address. I've looked out over that sea of faces - some friendly, others not - knowing how critical Congressional support for bold ideas and strong policies is for our future.

Believe me, the best thing we could do to help Barack Obama when he is president is to elect more change-oriented Democrats to Congress on November 4th.

You can start your personal role today by contributing to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC)'s Denver to November campaign before their critical FEC reporting deadline August 31st and if you give today, your gift will be matched 2-to-1 by House Democrats. All eyes will be on fundraising totals after the Democratic Convention ends next week - Democrats have to make a strong showing for these final days from Denver to November.

Contribute $15, $25 or more to our Denver to November campaign and your gift will be matched 2-to-1 by House Democrats.

We must never underestimate the commitment of the hard-core Republican operatives who will come after our candidates. Republican attack groups - even one led by people like Tom DeLay, and another advised by Karl Rove - are prepared to spend nearly $250 million to defeat Democrats.

We know they will attack our candidates with everything they've got, so we urgently need your support before the August 31st deadline. There is no time to wait.

Contribute $15, $25 or more to our Denver to November campaign and your gift will be matched 2-to-1 by House Democrats.

Thank you again for all of your hard work during this high-stakes election. I am counting on you to help pull us through to victory.

Sincerely,

Bill Clinton

P.S. You and I know we cannot let the Republicans and John McCain succeed at giving this country another Bush third term. That's why we need your urgent contribution before our FEC reporting deadline August 31st - we must show we have the resources to fight back.

-----------
(granted I doubt this will stop your unnecessary party dividing distain for the former President.)

14. It's Obama's responsibility to win this campaign ...
... he's slipping in the polls, and making excuses like 'the Clintons' isn't going to help things. McCain has gone on the offensive, and Obama's campaign is losing direction. They need to find it. Pronto. Starting with his convention speech - he needs to preach an agenda to match his 'hope-and-change' generalities.

He's got to make the right choice for VP, and he has to use the convention as a turning point. And like it or not, he needs to stop his pensive stammering and start ripping out some sound bites. American presidential politics has a 'bumper sticker' factor that can't just be dismissed.

That "middle aged woman" is out working the crowds (New Mexico with Bill Richadson earlier this week) and living out of a suitcase on behalf of Obama.

This Obama fan and supporter throughout the primaries is amazed at how little respect she gets for it. That's sad.

43. There is nothing to salvage. Her reputation is sterling. That narative is just wishful, hateful
thinking by hard-core Obamites who wish that Hillary was as "disgraced" as they gleefully proclaim her to be. That's why so many Clinton-haters are really against her being given such prominence at the Convention--it repudiates their silly narrative about how she is a shamed figure within the party and she needs to work hard to earn "forgiveness and redemption." What a bunch of self-righteous, self-serving dribble.

I posted about it, of course, but it didn't look like it got many views. It's not all that interesting to hear that she slammed McCain and endorsed Barack.

One of her best lines, I thought, in that speech:

"When we elect Barack Obama President of the United States, we will have a competent government, and a caring President. How's THAT for a change?"

78. I responded to this thread with what I have seen and heard.
You're allowed to hate her. That's fine with me.

But overlooking those who have responded to the question honestly and sincerely is not being honest with yourself.

Or am I on your ignore list?

79. Posts like yours are
what they show karl rove at breakfast every day to cheer him up.

This is silly, petty, pointless, and counter productive to helping Obama get elected. But, of course, you had a itty tantrum to pitch. it is so important that you get your ego massaged. Tell us just how you think writing this crap will help get Obama elected. You do want that, don't you?
