Paul Krugman said it the other day: Obama's campaign better shape up
So many blown opportunities to drive home his campaign message are starting to take a toll.

Krugman provided a recent example: Obama gave a speech burdened with too many deadly statistics, and failed to even once state the pro-Dem economic message contained in all the data.

Voters' eyes are glazing over and they're losing interest. Sure, Obama's website provides his detailed agenda. But average Joe needs to hear it articulated simply, forcefully, clearly, in easy to comprehend language.

This is such a scary tragedy for the US.

Listening to McCain's discourse on Russia is horrifying. We should be engaging Russia, not expanding Nato right up to its borders and threatening it with a non-workable, useless, and antagonistic missle defense system.

Just too bad for Dems and the entire world.

2. Is this the Paul Krugman who was such a staunch supporter of Obama in the primaries? *sarcastic*

7. sarcastic back to you
of course du-ers hate Krugman, since he supported Hillary

never mind that Krugman is one of the most outstanding progressive economists around

once he endorsed Hillary, du-ers suddenly decided their heretofore progressive hero was a bad guy

18. A professor who always thinks he's right, even when politically clumsy. Dissed Kerry and Obama,
Doesn't come back from primaries well, and is rigid.

20. Dissed? Only if you think
political discourse should consist of genuflection.

Krugman is not a fan of Obama's health plan (no reason to be imo) that is true. But he strongly prefers it to McCain's.

Simplistic thinking like that just brings us the ranting shout-fest partisans who generate heat but never light.

9. What's there to drive home?
I'm baffled. Are people that terrified of the "unknown" that they'd choose 4 more years of Bush? I think the people who were brave enough to come to this new world would be stunned at their chickenshit posterity's lack of pioneer spirit these days.

17. Jeez, don't shoot the messenger. This isn't about Krugman. It is a valid concern. I love Obama.
I have the shirt and a sign in my yard and on my car and I spread the word and donate money, but I too sees signs that his campaign is not keeping up with the assaults on his character and "Experience" by the remudlicans. WE know its all bullshit but we are not the only ones voting. There are undecided voters who are starting be affected by the lies. I hope the Dems are gearing up for some rebuttal soon.
