Carville, ever helpful, suggests strategy for Obama...
Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 02:24 PM by jakem
"Quite simply, he needs to create a more compelling narrative on change, use history as a context for the economy, and get mad about something."
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/20/carville.obama/index.html

- because 'angry black man' plays so well to the masses?

:freak:

(on a side note, I don't entirely disagree. But Carville is a beady-eyed snake anyway!)

1. How 'bout he gets out there and asks why a time-line if appropriate all of a sudden.
And why we couldn't have come up with one five years ago.

6. And in this economy...
I don't think Bill Cosby's gonna cut it, either.

People like someone they believe will fight for them.

9. I believe Barack should continue to do what he is doing.
The surrogates should take the mantle of being ones to attack.

Plus Bill Cosby was too vilified when he spoke out. There is a fine line that Barack has to walk, and if he fall on either side he will be labeled as either angry, or weak! As long as he continue to toe that line, he will be alright. His surrogates are going to have to carry the torch on attacking.

7. Use economic history aka praise the Clintons sending jobs overseas.
Carville would be the LAST person I would listen to. He is what we call a low life snake in the grass.
