2. Of all the failures of the Bush administration, the response

to the people of New Orleans after hurricane Katrina ranks as the low point. I was transfixed by the coverage, and felt so much outrage at the Bush administration, FEMA, and other other agencies who allowed people to die in the street. It was America's worst hour.

I have never been so ashamed to be an American - as I was when we did not respond to our own in the Gulf Coast. It's not just N.O. - it's everyone down there.

Contrast that response with LBJ's - "This is your President. And I'm here."

I think with Barack we'd get the exact same response in the face of a hurricaine. Any of those people that were running against him? The same thing.
