from the KC Star on-line 'comment' section on the article about Barack watching Michelle's speech while in KC:
some, shall we say, 'uninformed' asshat did a by-the-numbers critique of what Michelle DIDN'T say with all the buzzwords: radical, left-wing, socialism...and of course, in caps, WRIGHT...and the next poster responded:
"She's addressed it a million times. Why are people so damn hard headed. Did you listen to anything that she said? Maybe you can't relate because you have no work ethic or maybe your parents didn't either so that's why you are ignorant and uneducated and unwilling to open up your mind and listen to the facts. Michelles father was a blue collar man who worked hard to raise his family the right way. She and her brother worked hard and became productive citizens. Being black in america is not easy. Give her and her family credit for living the american the dream and playing by the rules. You watch too much damn Fox news. As for Rev Wright. The man is definitely controversial but who cares if says goddamn america. He grew up in the days of jim crow. If america enslaved your ancestors and then gave you civil rights little by little. Then you'd be a little hateful your damn self. obama doesn't embrace those ideas. His allegiance is to god and I'm sure rev wright preached a whole lot of good also. Our country is headed in the wrong direction and has been. If you want an old man set in his ways, who cheated on his wife after she got in a car accident, who wants to go to war with iran and russia and iraq and afghanistan, who wants to keep giving tax breaks to companies who ship jobs overseas, who wants to drill for oil to put more money in big oils pocket even though it won't put a dent in the price we pay for gas and damages the environment further, who doesnt' want equal pay for women, who wants to privatize social security, who is open to having a draft. Then vote for McBush. If you want a president who wants to end the war, repair damaged relationships with our allies, has a real energy policy, knows the real value of a good education and wants to help families afford it for their kids. then vote for obama and quit letting all the negative b.s. about him affect your judgement. Is america really stupid enough to vote Bush part III into office? I pray not." Posted by: nathan
