Interesting discussion on Thom Hartmann's show regarding Convention coverage.
Not even so much the talking head interference, but the pool camera coverage, which unfortunately, is under control of FAUX Noize this time. Yep, even what you see on C-SPAN (for those of us choosing to avoid the WhoreSpin)

1. No surprise then about all the negative coverage.

2. I think Michael Moore and MoveOn.org should control the pool cameras at the Repuke convention.
It's only fair, right?

3. You've just gotta wonder what was going on to allow Faux noise
to get control of the cameras for OUR convention. :wtf:

6. Tragically, it's a simple matter of drawing straws among the networks.
FAUX happened to pick the longest straw. So it wasn't anybody in the party who made this decision. Can't even blame it on the DLC this time.

I don't believe FAUX should be considered a legitimate media organization in the first place, but at this point, CNN controlling the feed would probably be just as bad. My preference would be C-SPAN controlling the pool at both conventions. They claim to be completely unbiased. I'm not sure about that but, they're at least the "least" biased (aside from Keith & Rachel - and lately even Tweety - on MSNBC)

11. I bet they had to replace a lot of trousers at Fox that day
Can you imagine the collective orgasm that they had when this was announced? Not in their wildest dreams could they imagined getting such a golden opportunity to screw Democrats even further.

4. Ohhhh yes... I am glad that's being discussed. I surely noticed last night...
and I didn't even watch that long.

Sickening... but hardly surprising.

7. This was brought up last night in my own house
We were watching for a long while and after a couple hours, my wife looked at me and said "why are all of the people in the audience so upset?". We both dismissed it as emotion and perhaps a too-tightly focused camera covering too small of a section. After watching a while longer, I started to notice that the cameras focused on the African-Americans in the audience and rarely showed any Caucasians or other ethnic groups and their reactions.

Now, we find out that Fox is handling the pool coverage - so they are showing selected shots to push an agenda which is - 1.) People are sad and not upbeat, perhaps there is still division and 2.) The majority of the people supporting Obama are African Americans.

9. i can't believe obama's team allowed that
they must have known fox would do this. it could ruin how a bunch of low info people view our conventions.

on cspan folks were dancing, young, old, black, white, bored, happy, everything and that is how it should be filmed.

12. FOX coverage is racist - they are subtling working to convince America that
Obama is a BLACK candidate, for BLACK people. The most common shot of white people was of a few people wearing Hillary buttons or signs.

14. Fox didn't make it too obvious--Mostly they didn't show too many
excited white people.

15. I heard that too. My reaction?
Whines and complains.

It's gotten to be a pattern among Democrats-

Look at Harry Reid- he reminds me of the daschund who moved in with his family next door.

He barks all the time and tears up at the fence.

Don't get me wrong, I like the little dog-

He's cute and his family loves him.
