While supposedly moderate on global warming, and also, not tied to McCain....

- a constitutional ban on abortion

- a constitutional ban on gay marriage

- the party accepts that economic activity contributes to global warming, but is loaded with caveats about the uncertainty of science and the need to resist no-growth radicalism.

- making English the official language

That's the other side, the bad guys. There's no reasonable reason to consider McCain, if any rational person looks at what he offers (not to mention his insane foreign policy, and possible, early onset dementia - or not early, really).
