Interesting to see that the GOP platform for 2008 was today amended from:

We call for a ban on human cloning and a ban on the creation of and experimentation on human embryos for research purposes.

...to:

We call for a ban on human cloning and a ban on the creation of or experimentation on human embryos for research purposes.

According to one of the writers at National Review, even some anti-legalized abortion folks were trying to block this amendment, but it passed in the end.

Any betting that McCain won't be too happy about this?
